A four day trip on the Thames from Oxford to Windsor. Kayaking and exploring the countryside, lunch in Riverside pubs and restaurants and paddling to your the nights Riverside accommodation.

University Boat Race. Dating back to 1829 is raced from Putney to
Chiswick Bridge in west London.

World “Poohsticks”
championships are held at Days Lock near Dorchester.

Hurley canoe and kayak
freestyle rodeo.

April |
- Easter: Devises to Westminster
International Canoe Marathon. Every Easter one of the longest
kayak races in the world takes place. Starting on the canal at
Devises and joining the Thames at Reading then finishing 125 miles
later at Big Ben at Westminster London.
- Classic white water Hurley Weir.

May |
- Windsor Horse Show held in the private
gardens of Windsor Castle. These private gardens are normally
closed to the public. A four day event of polo, dressage, carriage
racing and much more.
- British Canoe exhibition Wokingham

June |
- Marlow Regatta
- Henley Royal Regatta and Festival,
starts on a Wednesday at the end of June and finishes on a
Saturday, the Festival is early July. This is an international
competitive rowing event attracting thousands of visitors.

July |
- Swan Upping: As far back as the 14 and
15 century owning swans was a status symbol. Now the only owners
of swans on the Thames are the Dyers and the Vintners Companies
and of course, the Queen. The purpose of swan upping is to ring
all new cygnets with the same mark as their parents. Third week in
July from Abingdon to west London
- Dogget Coat and Badge, the most ancient
regular sporting event in the world is a rowing race first
competed in 1716. The race was established to commemorate the
accession of George the First. The course was originally four and
half miles long from "The Swan" at London Bridge to "The Swan" at
Chelsea. The winner was originally presented with a bright crimson
coat with the silver badge on his right arm. This race is held at
the end of July.

- Hurley Regatta a fun day of raft
building and races on the water.
- Knowl Hill Steam Rally. Held in Bottle
Meadow, Maidenhead up to 60 steam driven vehicles are on active
display.

- As autumn begins the colours start to
change from deep greens to yellows and reds forming a picturesque
view of a tranquil Thames.
